RN Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit - Nights
This is a 13-week contract position.
12-hour night shift including weekend rotation; must agree to be in the call rotation and take 1 call shift per 2-week period.
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Acute Care/Med-Surg Adult department is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients. Utilizing specialized knowledge and expertise, the RN will plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
Provide comprehensive quality nursing care to patients in the Med-Surg Acute Care/Observation Unit.
Utilize nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patients' care plans.
Manage acute and chronic illness cases, especially related to orthopedic surgeries and hybrid Cath Lab procedures.
Participate in call rotation and take call shifts as needed based on staffing requirements.
Maintain compliance with all required certifications and health regulations.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Acute Care/Med-Surg/Telemetry or similar RN roles is required.
Current RN License to work in Colorado.
Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Flu vaccination is mandatory during the flu season from October 1st through April 1st.
