Staff Services Analyst

This position is eligible to telework up to one (1) day a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. This is subject to change based on operational need and/or future return-to-office orders. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Under the supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II in the Masters Agreement Unit 2 (MAU2), the Staff Services Analyst coordinates and controls all aspects of the less complex acquisition of goods and services through procurement planning, specification review, bid development, negotiations, contract award, lease, and administration phases. The incumbent utilizes California eProcurement, the Financial Information System for California (FI$Cal), SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite to ensure compliance with procurement laws, rules, regulations, and policies.

This position is Limited Term (12 months); it may become permanent, be extended up to 24 months, or be canceled at any time.

This position may be downgraded to Analyst I for recruitment purposes. If downgraded, duties will be adjusted accordingly.

This position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment. The Department of General Services does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes.
