Festoon Assembly Technician

Conductix-Wampfler, a growing industrial products manufacturer is looking for festoon assemblers to join their team. Qualified candidates will be self-directed and quality-minded. We want to add team members who take pride in their work and can solve problems in a team-based environment. Qualified individuals will possess the following skills: Have 1-3 years of experience with assembly is a plus. Have experience operating drills, impacts, grinder and basic hand tools. Assembles electrical and mechanical components according to the information provided to produce a quality festoon system product by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED. Mechanical assembly of various size structural and electrical components. Electrical installations according to wiring specifications. Operate necessary tools, as listed on the job description, to aid in the assembly of festoon systems. Connects color-coded wires. Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems. Manufacturing consultant to engineering and sales department concerning design problems. Responsible for checking the accuracy of engineering, sales and manufacturing offices' input to ensure customer final product is correct and within quality acceptance guidelines. Any changes or corrections must be communicated to appropriate departments so future product output is consistent with customer expectations. Through actions and decision-making, proactively supports, promotes, and improves the quality system and policy throughout the organization. QUALIFICATIONS

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write and/or verbally communicate correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be willing and able to successfully pass our in-house forklift & overhead crane certification program prior to operating these machines within our facility. Operating these machines is an essential function of this role. This certification program will assess proficiency in safe operation according to our company’s standards and protocols. Training will be provided.
