Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient

Coverage Type: Clinical + Call

Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing

Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8a – 4:30p

On-Call Shift Schedule: Weeklong call rotation - Mon 8a – Mon 8a; overnight call from home

Call Type: Beeper/Home Call

Call Ratio: Weekly rotation

Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics

Patient Volume/Census: 20–40 patients per day

Admissions: Yes

Rounding: Included

Phone Consults: Yes

Case Mix: Malignant and benign oncology, hematology consults

No. of Beds in Department: 590 beds

Trauma Level: Level III–IV

EMR System: Epic

Office Equipment Available: Standard oncology equipment

Specialty Backup Available: Hospitalists, oncology team

Support Staff Available: APPs (1 weekday, 1 weekend)

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (multiple sites)

Temporary Privileges Available: TBD

Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days

Compensation & Benefits: Rate: TBD; Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered

Required Procedures: Medical oncology management, hematology consults, inpatient oncology care

Job Requirements: Licenses: Active MN license or IMLC required; Board: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology; DEA: Required; Certifications: BLS or ACLS; Experience: Minimum 2 years required; Other Qualifications: Epic experience required

Duties & Responsibilities: Lead inpatient medical oncology team, manage oncology and hematology patients, supervise APPs and support staff, provide consults and inpatient coverage, participate in call rotation and respond to patient needs
