At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team partners with businesses to identify risks, protect assets, and deliver insurance solutions that support long-term success. As a Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager, you'll help build trusted client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and provide proactive guidance that helps clients confidently navigate an evolving risk landscape.

Provide day-to-day service support to Commercial Lines Account Managers and Producers

Respond to client, carrier, and internal inquiries regarding coverage, billing, claims, and policy servicing

Document client interactions, service requests, and account activity within agency management systems

Coordinate renewal timelines and maintain renewal tracking tools and reports

Assist in marketing new and renewal business by preparing submission materials and tracking carrier quotes

Review policies, quotes, and underwriting information for accuracy and completeness

Prepare proposal materials, coverage comparisons, and presentation documents for client meetings

Monitor follow-up activities related to renewals, endorsements, service requests, and outstanding account items

Minimum 1 year of commercial insurance, insurance operations, or related industry experience preferred

Active Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain within the required timeframe

Basic understanding of commercial Property & Casualty insurance coverages and underwriting principles

Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset

Experience supporting commercial insurance account management teams

Familiarity with agency management systems and insurance technology platforms

Experience assisting with renewal marketing and carrier submission processes

Knowledge of policy servicing activities including endorsements, certificates, and billing support

Experience reviewing insurance policies, quotations, and coverage documentation

Ability to prepare client-facing presentations and proposal materials

Experience working directly with insurance carriers and underwriting teams

Hourly Range: $21.50–$26.50 hourly
