Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician direction with minimal supervision
• Perform patient assessments and institute individualized respiratory care plans across all hospital areas
• Manage airway support including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning, BiPAP/CPAP devices, ventilator setup and operation, and airway retaining device placement
• Conduct diagnostic procedures including blood gas collection and analysis, EKG analysis, and chest film analysis; deliver aerosolized drugs and manage oxygen delivery devices
• Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Code White events
• May serve as Shift Leader or Team Leader; advanced practice duties may include pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, and transport duties

Required Qualifications

• Active RT or RCP License in the state of Texas required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• PALS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• NRP certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1–3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred
• Experience with advanced therapeutic gas management including INO and HeO2
• Familiarity with polysomnography, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation, and waveform analysis
