CNC Field Service Technician

Position Summary The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of machine tool equipment and controls. The role works independently to ensure the highest level of quality and customer service satisfaction. Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all machine tool equipment and controls. Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to research machine issues. Document and submit status reports on machine issues, repairs, and installations to office and customers. Promote and perform preventative maintenance and provide after‑sales technical support and training. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of machine tool industry and product lines represented by the company. Qualifications & Competencies Five years’ experience with CNC machine repair. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other business programs. Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics. Excellent technical, communication, and presentation skills. Must meet the physical requirements of the job, including flexible hours and frequent travel throughout a regional territory. Benefits Competitive starting salary. Safety‑Sensitive Requirements Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment. Work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas. Strong hand‑eye coordination and fine motor skills for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work. Work in industrial environments with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other conditions while wearing PPE.
