Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunities are available this summer for Physical Therapists seeking dynamic school-based contract roles in the Laurel, MD area. Two distinct programs are in need of skilled, compassionate PT professionals to support students’ development in a collaborative educational environment.

Key Details:

• Contract positions with Monday–Thursday schedules—enjoy your Fridays off all summer.
• Extended School Year (ESY) Program: Onsite role, serving special and general education students from June 29th to July 30th; professional development on June 25th; 5-week duration.
  • Special Education Schools: 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • General Education Schools: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Up to 6 billable hours per day, 24 per week.
• Infants and Toddlers Services & Assessments: Support early intervention from June 22nd to July 30th, focused on children’s developmental needs.
  • Up to 7 billable hours per day, 28 per week.
  • No Fridays required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state licensure to practice Physical Therapy required.
• Pediatric and/or school-based experience highly preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and staff.
• Dedication to fostering an encouraging and inclusive learning environment.

Program Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct PT services per student IEP or IFSP.
• Conduct assessments and document student progress.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate goals to caregivers and school personnel.
• Assist with program planning and activities as needed.
• Maintain all records and reports in compliance with regulations.
