Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Non-Invasive Cardiology unit, requiring 1+ year of echocardiography experience and active ARDMS or CCI certification.

Details

• Non-Invasive Cardiology unit in a regional hospital setting
• Performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction
• 5x8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
• Shared on-call obligations covering nights, weekends, and holidays, with a 30-minute response time requirement
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography
• Active ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required
• BLS certification through AHA required and must not expire prior to start date
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
• Experience in cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) preferred
• License required if applicable
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis
• Reviews patient history and selects appropriate imaging protocols; explains procedures and positions patients accordingly
• Evaluates completed studies for quality and completeness, and coordinates image preparation and documentation for physicians
• Monitors equipment reliability and safety, reports issues, and maintains supplies and work environment
• Participates in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow
• Transports patients as needed
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
