This role will own the forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes, serving as a key finance business partner to cross-functional stakeholders across Operations, Business & Legal Affairs, Technology, and Distribution. The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will drive financial insight and decision support, oversee monthly close and reporting activities, and mentor Financial Planning & Analysis analyst(s). This position reports to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Planning & AnalysisLead the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts, budgets, and long-range plansDevelop and maintain financial models and perform variance analysis to evaluate business performance, profitability, and strategic initiativesDevelop and present scenario models and strategic decision-support analyses, including greenlight analysis for new titles and title-level profitability modeling to guide content investment decisionsPrepare revenue, participation, and residual ultimates for newly greenlit titles and manage ongoing updates across 800+ active library titlesCross-Functional Partnership & Business PartneringBuild and maintain strong relationships with divisional counterparts (Operations, Business & Legal Affairs, Technology, Distribution, etc.) to align financial plans with operational goals and business strategiesReporting & CloseOversee the preparation of monthly journal entries and financial reports for divisional counterpartsPrepare and review management reports supporting the sales organization, including tracking secured sales performance against budget and forecastEnsure accurate reconciliation of financial data between the planning tool and ERP systemProcess Improvement & Systems ImplementationPartner with Technology teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize planning and reporting systems to enhance accuracy and scalabilityChampion use of AI tools for automation and standardization initiatives, to streamline recurring reporting, close activities, and data workflowsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentMentor and develop FP&A analyst(s), fostering professional growth and a high-performance team culturePerform ad hoc projects and strategic analyses as required by leadershipWHAT YOU WILL NEEDBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field5+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience, preferably within the entertainment or media industryProven experience leading or mentoring junior team membersStrong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principlesStrong sense of ownership, accountability, and a results-driven mindsetStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detailDemonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across departments, including Operations, Business & Legal Affairs, Technology, and DistributionAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting time-sensitive deadlinesExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to senior and executive leadership, as well as non-finance audiencesAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skillsNICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKERExperience with Anaplan, Workday, and/or RightslinePrior experience in an entertainment, media, studio, or distribution environmentExperience leveraging AI/automation tools (Claude, Gemini, Replit, ChatGPT, or similar) to enhance financial forecasting, automate reporting workflows, or improve data analysisProactive mindset toward adopting emerging technologies, including agentic workflows and AI-driven process automation, with the ability to identify, evaluate, and implement AI solutions within FP&A workflows in partnership with Technology teamsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
