The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Epic Analyst EpicCare Inpatient/ASAP.

The Epic Analyst EpicCare Inpatient/ASAP assists Associate Epic Analysts on the team and collaborates with key stakeholders end-users and application team members to optimize the applications configuration function and access. The Epic Analyst EpicCare Inpatient/ASAP facilitates day-to-day application support and resolving application issues and provides day-to-day application support and resolving application issues.

Core Responsibilities:

• Serves as a support contact for application endusers. Identifies issues and works to resolve them.
• Designs develops implements and maintains the application.
• Supports all phases of testing and document workflow design.
• Performs the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validates the impacts to the workflow.
• Provides day-to-day application support evaluates and resolves service tickets implements requested application changes and retrieves requested data promptly.
• Collaborates with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies.
• Assists with analyzing the impact of information technology in clinical work processes.
• Participates in on-call rotations and support.
• Attends and participates in applicable committees.
• Maintains regular communication with team members and participates in weekly project team meetings.
• Reviews the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership.
• Becomes knowledgeable about UHealths policies procedures and business operations.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS

As an Epic Analyst EpicCare Inpatient/ASAP you will report to the Senior Manager and will be responsible for:

• Providing oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts on the team

• Implementing building and modifying the application

• Collaborating with key stakeholders end-users and application team members to optimize the applications configuration function and access

• Providing day-to-day application support and resolving application issues
• Serve as a support contact for application endusers

• Design develop implement and maintain the application

• Support all phases of testing and document workflow design

• Perform the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validate the impacts to the workflow

• Identify issues and work to resolve them

• Provide day-to-day application support evaluate and resolve service tickets implement requested application changes and retrieve requested data in a timely manner

• Collaborate with trainers on application changes and new features to develop documentation and training strategies

• Assist with analyzing the impact of information technology in clinical work processes

• Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure

• Participate in on-call rotations and support

• Attend and participate in applicable committees

• Maintain regular communication with team members and participate in weekly project team meetings

• Review the status of projects and issues on an ongoing basis with leadership

• Become knowledgeable about UHealths policies procedures and business operations

MINIMUM QUALIFACTIONS:

• Bachelors degree in relevant field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
• Epic ClinDoc Orders and ASAP Certifications required
• At least 2 years of Epic build experiencepreferred
• Previous operational project management and organizational skillspreferred
• Familiarity with clinical workflows preferred
• Understanding of emergency department workflows and integration points especially regarding patient movement (ADT) and chargingpreferred
• Microsoft Office Suite: Word PowerPoint Project Visio Excel

• Problem Solving: Seeking logically examining and interpreting information from different sources to determine a problems cause and developing a course of action to resolve the problem and to prevent its recurrence

• Dependability: Ability and willingness to take ownership of work activities and ensure that they are completed in an accurate efficient and timely manner
