Messina Hof is made up of a team of honest and passionate people of character that desire to be part of a rapidly growing company in an exciting and thriving industry.Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with all marketing and public relations functions and designing art and copy layouts for Messina Hof Winery and Resort and its related departments.Essential Functions Statement(s): To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Assist with all marketing initiatives and activities.Capturing and editing high-quality, brand-aligned photos and videos for use across digital marketing channels and campaigns.Maintain open communication with other Messina Hof departmental managers on execution of tasks to ensure their marketing needs are being met.Identify and communicate all items to be promoted to Messina Hof staff and follow through on marketing events and programsManage Messina Hof's online presence on search engines and travel platforms and address customer questions and comments in a timely mannerSupport and execute advertising campaigns, as well as promotions and marketing strategiesCoordinate, create, design, develop and close all personalized label ordersPlan and execute social media campaigns and social media marketing opportunitiesDesign and create newsletters, press releases, company marketing materials, labels, ads, radio scripts, posters, displays, eblast, and advertising artComplete computer layout work/camera ready art as needed and work with vendors to coordinate digital artwork necessary to complete assigned projectsDetermines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arranges layout based on space and aesthetic design conceptsFollow through and complete function sheets for Marketing events (i.e., festivals, demos, etc.), and assist with marketing needs for competitions, festivals, conventions, etc.Assist with website management, development, SEO rankings, blogging and social media campaigns and marketing initiativesObtain bids for various projects and marketing initiativesIdentify and develop contacts for promotional campaigns and industry programs that meet identified buyer targetsMaintain Brand standards according to documented Brand strategy, personality, and valuesSupport all Messina Hof locations marketing efforts including occasional regional travel to additional sites, and completing event promotion requests in a timely mannerPerform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed, data entry, responding to reviews, sending surveys, and inventory managementQualificationsPosition Qualifications Competency Statement(s)Related degree and/or 1-3 years of experience in the marketing industryStrong photography and videography capabilities including image capture and editing skillsSocial Media knowledge with ability to write, generate and design content and produce creative ideasPossess long and short-term memory and ability to maintain records, organize, and multi-taskAbility to problem solve and communicate effectively verbally and in writingAble to operate a personal computer and be familiar with a variety of computer programs, including graphic design, desktop publishing, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Orderport, etc.Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet necessary sales goals and deadlinesMust have active TABC and Food Handler certifications at all times.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
