Our client is looking for a talented Sr. SAP ABAP Developer to join their team in Emeryville, CA, for an exciting long-term contract position. If you have extensive experience in SAP ABAP development and thrive in a SAP HANA environment, this opportunity is perfect for you!



Job Summary: As a Sr. SAP ABAP Developer, you will develop, customize, and optimize robust SAP solutions utilizing ABAP programming within a SAP HANA environment. Your role will involve designing and implementing ABAP solutions across various SAP modules (such as SD, MM, FI/CO), collaborating with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical ABAP code, and conducting comprehensive unit testing and debugging to ensure code quality. You will participate in code reviews, adhere to development best practices, and optimize ABAP programs for performance. Additionally, you will provide support and troubleshooting for ABAP-related issues, ensuring seamless operations and high performance within the SAP HANA environment.



Responsibilities: In this role, you will design and implement ABAP solutions across SAP modules like SD, MM, and FI/CO on the SAP HANA platform. You will work closely with functional teams to translate business requirements into precise ABAP code. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough unit testing and debugging to ensure robust and error-free code. You will participate in code reviews, follow development best practices, and optimize ABAP programs for maximum performance in the SAP HANA environment. Moreover, you will provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for ABAP-related issues, ensuring the smooth functioning of SAP systems.



Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience on SAP systems
• Proven expertise in SAP HANA development, including data modeling and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of SAP functional modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
