Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Position: Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) CAP 1 – an entry-level role within the Clinical Advancement Program. Responsibilities include: Providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for hemodialysis patients. Collaborating with the healthcare team and delegating tasks to care staff. Monitoring and documenting patient data pre-, during-, and post-treatment, adjusting care plans as needed. Educating patients and families on treatment options and care procedures. Administering medications, responding to emergencies, and ensuring lab procedures are followed. Participating in staff training, quality improvement, and team decision-making activities. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure. CPR/BLS certified. Less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience; prior hemodialysis experience preferred. Physical ability to perform patient lifting, standing, and equipment handling. Additional details: Must complete 12 weeks of dialysis education, meet physical demands of the role, and may supervise care staff once trained.
