Job Developer

Position Summary:The Job Developer will assist individuals with disabilities to find suitable employment opportunities. They will work closely with clients and employers to assess and develop job-related skills, make connections with employers, and assist with successful job placements.Essential Functions:Develop individual community-based jobs for clients with a wide range of disabilities based on customer/referral source input, make employer contacts, develop and implement job placement plansProvide consultation, training strategy information, and accommodation information to support the individual, Job Coaches, employers, referral sources, and supervisorsEnsure that all customers and team members receive necessary and timely communicationCoordinate services with other agencies and staffEnsure billing and reports are sent to customers in a timely fashion and referrals are addressed within ten days of receiptProvide job site follow-up as neededAssist in generating new referralsTransport clients to appointments, interviews, meetings and work as neededExplain and use employment and wage reimbursement incentives to clients, employers, agencies and familiesEnsure a high level of quality servicesMentor all new Job Developers regarding all aspects of job development, service delivery, paperwork and billingRespond immediately to complaints and concernsEnsures compliance with CARF standardsOther duties as assignedExperience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferredCompassionate, patient, and dependableAbility to follow support plans and communicate clearly with team membersAbility to maintain confidentiality and professional boundariesMust have conflict resolution and organizational skillsMust be able to effectively communicate and interact in a positive manner, utilizing both written and verbal methods, with participants, families, advocates, employees, and referring agenciesMust be able to effectively utilize Microsoft Office software and other web-based softwareMust represent The Alpha Group and its participants to the public in a professional mannerMust be at least 18 years oldValid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferredMust be willing and able to travel to various job sitesAbility to pass background checks and required screeningsMust remain in compliance with all regulatory standards governing program services, including appropriate trainingMust have or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED training certificationMust be able to read, write, and understand English #J-18808-Ljbffr
