Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patient conditions and prioritize treatment based on acuity.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain patient records accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Active RN license.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Skills: Proven ability to work effectively as a team player; maintain a positive attitude; respond to critical situations calmly and efficiently.

Unit Information

The Emergency Department consists of 26 beds, and the patient ratios are flexible based on acuity, generally averaging 1:4-5. The department is equipped with GE Monitors and standard emergency equipment. Candidates with experience in Meditech are preferred.

Additional Information

Weekend hours will be required on an alternating basis. There are no call requirements associated with this position.
