This position grants significant influence over technology strategy, engineering excellence, and organizational expansion.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership for intricate aerospace development projects from inception to production.Establish system architecture, engineering strategy, and long-term product development paths.Lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams encompassing aerospace, mechanical, electrical, avionics, systems, manufacturing, and test engineering.Direct the design, integration, and validation of cutting-edge aerospace platforms and mission-critical systems.Oversee aircraft structures, systems integration, flight controls, propulsion integration, aerodynamics, and supporting subsystems.Guide prototype development, laboratory testing, ground testing, flight testing, validation, and verification activities.Establish and uphold engineering best practices, including design reviews, configuration management, technical risk management, and quality standards.Act as the primary technical liaison with customers, suppliers, government agencies, and strategic partners.Coach engineering managers and technical personnel while fostering a culture of innovation, cooperation, accountability, and continuous enhancement.Collaborate with executive leadership to align engineering initiatives with business goals and future growth.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of engineering. Master's degree is preferable.15+ years of advancing aerospace engineering experience with escalating technical and organizational leadership roles.Proven track record of guiding the development of intricate aerospace products from conception through testing and production.Strong expertise in aircraft design, structural advancement, systems integration, aerodynamics, propulsion integration, flight controls, and product validation.Experience in integrating avionics, electrical systems, communications, navigation, sensors, propulsion, and other pivotal aircraft systems.Demonstrated success in leading cross-disciplinary engineering teams and large-scale product development endeavours.Thorough understanding of systems engineering, validation and verification, configuration management, and engineering development processes.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, executive leadership, customers, and government stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsExperience with unmanned aircraft, autonomous systems, or other advanced aerospace technologies.Experience supporting defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated engineering projects.Familiarity with FAA, military, or other aerospace certification and airworthiness standards.Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).Knowledge of AS9100 quality systems and engineering best practices.Why This Opportunity?This is a unique chance to influence the technical direction of a thriving aerospace organization as it pioneers next-generation flight technologies.
