RN Medical Surgical Orthopedic Nurse PT Days

Join Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC), part of Baylor Scott & White Health, as a Registered Nurse on a fast‑paced orthopedic surgical inpatient unit. Responsibilities Provide care for orthopedic patients from PACU, ICU, ED, and direct admissions, including total joint replacement, ortho‑oncology, ortho‑trauma, advanced joint revisions, limb salvage/reattachment, and spinal procedures. Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5 in a 40‑bed surgical inpatient unit that is an advanced certification unit. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes dedicated nurse practitioners, orthopedic residents, and therapy teams, and participate in mobility training with physical therapy. Support a flexible self‑scheduling process that promotes work‑life balance and participate in the staff scheduling committee for autonomy and collaboration. Qualifications At least one year of inpatient hospital RN experience in Med/Surg. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current RN license. BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
