Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Saint Petersburg, FL. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical unit with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver efficient surgical services and maintain high standards of patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing licensure, at least 1 year of experience in operating room nursing, and ability to work scheduled shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotics, gynecology, urology, general surgery, and orthopedic procedures; ability to take call is preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Beds: 215
  • Unit information: 7 Operating Room suites with approximately 30 staff members including Certified Scrub Technicians, Registered Nurses, aides, and leadership.
  • Typical procedures include gyn, urology, general surgeries, cystoscopy, breast, knee scopes, and total joint surgeries.
  • EMR system used: Meditech
  • Candidate personality fit: Team player.
  • Unit policies and guidelines should be reviewed prior to start.
  • Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy and is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation.
