Machine Operator / Metal Fabricator – Rockland, Maine Position Overview Operate and monitor fabrication machinery to produce snowplow and ice control components. Set up and adjust machines to maintain quality and efficiency. Perform basic maintenance and assist with preventive maintenance activities. Maintain communication with other departments and keep work areas clean and organized. Follow all company safety and quality standards. Schedule First Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Second Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. Starting Pay $19.00 per hour (wage increased based upon experience) Shift Differential Additional 10% for Second Shift Enjoy a steady four-day work week with long weekends and great earning potential! Key Responsibilities Run test cycles and perform quality checks to ensure product accuracy. Identify and correct equipment issues as they occur. Operate powered industrial trucks and overhead hoists as needed. Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings. Participate in training and continuous improvement programs such as 5S and TPM. Essential Experience Minimum 2 years of fabrication or related manufacturing experience. Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings. Experience setting up and operating fabrication equipment such as Press Brakes, Shears, and Ironworkers. Basic computer literacy. Prior forklift or hoist experience preferred.
