Position: Municipal Project Engineer Location: Ridgeland, MS Job Id: 6616 # of Openings: 1 Garver is seeking a MunicipalProject Engineer to complement our reputable staff and join our growing Transportation Team in our Ridgeland, MS office to continue the tradition of providing quality service to our clients. Responsibilities of this position will be to assist in the design and creation of construction documents on a wide variety of projects including:Leading and assisting in the design and creation of construction documents on municipal transportation and drainage projects such as major thoroughfares, collectors, residential streets, and trails.Roadway design components including typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage and hydraulic analysis, erosion control plans, pedestrian mobility and safety features, maintenance of traffic plans, and storm water quality plans.Assignments will also involve tasks associated with leading or producing a set of construction documents including design, drafting, quantity computations, specifications, cost estimates, client coordination and meetings, and coordination with subconsultants.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited programHave passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam4-10 years of related experienceStrong communication skillsHave design software trainingPreferred SkillsLicensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Mississippi.Experience in municipal design, specifically horizontal and vertical geometrics.
