Senior Portfolio Manager

Responsibilities Gather and collate competitive information to drive insights Anticipate customer and patient needs and create superior value propositions Obtain insights by leveraging key opinion leaders Analyze market research validity, reliability, statistical significance, and basic hypothesis testing Use qualitative and quantitative research Identify industry trends using market research and third-party data Lead the new product development process cross-departmentally Build financial business case models for new product development funding and product ROI Deliver business and marketing objectives and lead pre-commercialization discovery Plan new product development and launch strategies Partner with Clinical Affairs on evidence-generation research objectives Partner with Product Marketing on publication and messaging strategy Analyze customer acquisition and retention economics Identify customer segments, market potential, new volume sources, and financial tradeoffs Lead sales tools and channel communication development Understand and predict market sales trends Research forecasting factors, measurements, and variables Execute product lifecycle management plans Develop supply-chain interruption contingency plans Create and communicate value propositions Develop pricing aligned with marketing strategy and brand positioning Develop new marketing channels and tools Define performance criteria for evaluating business trends and activities Requirements Bachelors degree required 6+ years of work experience required MBA preferred 3+ years of medical device experience preferred New product development or marketing experience preferred Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills Ability to work 3-4 days per week in the Kalamazoo, Michigan office Ability to travel 40% Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in market research analysis, new product development, and strategic marketing within the medical device industry. Proficient in creating value propositions, financial business case models, and executing product lifecycle management plans.
