Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit serving neonatal, infant, and adult patient populations
• Support and manage vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, multiple births, and post-partum hemorrhage cases
• Assist with pregnancy-induced hypertension management and D&C procedures
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–2 across a 16-bed L&D unit and 6-bed triage area with an average daily census of 15
• Document accurately using Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR methodology
• Participate in weekend shifts, holiday coverage, and on-call requirements per contract terms

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Ability to float within the facility within scope of practice as needed
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery setting
