Job Title: Enclosure Shop Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling metal generator enclosures in either the enclosure shop or the finish department. You work hands-on with a variety of hand and power tools to build, assemble, and complete the final touches on metal enclosures according to daily assigned tasks and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal generator enclosures in the enclosure shop using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform final assembly and finishing work on completed enclosures in the finish department.
• Read and follow basic instructions, drawings, or blueprints to complete assigned tasks accurately.
• Use carpentry, fabrication, and general construction techniques to cut, fit, and secure components.
• Inspect work for quality and completeness, making repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Support production goals by completing daily tasks efficiently and meeting established timelines.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of safety glasses and steel-toe footwear.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in both indoor and outdoor industrial settings.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and task completion.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and measuring tools.
• Experience using power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, and other fabrication equipment.
• Basic carpentry or construction skills, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
• Ability to perform fabrication and assembly work in an industrial production environment.
• Capability to read and follow simple blueprints, drawings, or work instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with metal components and hardware.
• Attention to detail when performing assembly, finishing, and repair tasks.
• Commitment to safety practices, including wearing safety glasses and steel-toe footwear.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction, carpentry, concrete work, landscaping, or metal working.
• Experience in fabrication, assembly, or production environments.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and provide support to the production team.
• Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor industrial settings.
• Flexibility to be assigned to either the finish department or enclosure shop based on skills.

Work Environment

The role is based in an industrial setting that includes both indoor and outdoor work areas. You work in either the enclosure shop, where metal generator enclosures are built, or the finish department, where final assembly and finishing tasks are completed. Safety is a priority, and you are required to wear safety glasses and steel-toe footwear at all times. Following an initial interview and skills assessment, you are placed in the department that best matches your abilities, working with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment in a production-focused environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
