Team Manager Overnights

About the role

As a Team Manager at Avery Dennisons West Coast Distribution Center you will provide leadership and direction for all Safety Quality Service Productivity and Cost Reduction objectives within an assigned area of the facility. Reporting to the Site Leader you will manage direct reports drive continuous improvement and foster a customer-focused team committed to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

This is an on-site position located at our Rancho Cucamonga California facility. However *** The Rancho Cucamonga site will be relocating to our Paris CA site by January 2027.*** Overnight Hours will be 10:00pm to 6:00am Monday through Friday.  Occasional weekends and extra weekday as needed. 

• Provide leadership direction and daily supervision for warehouse staff ensuring safety quality service productivity and cost reduction targets are met.

• Perform general management duties including hiring training employee development performance evaluations work assignments timekeeping and applying organizational policies.

• Direct daily operational activities such as shipping receiving loading and unloading trucks stacking picking packing and analyzing inventory reports.

• Design and implement operations improvement strategies lead 5S activities and drive continuous improvement utilizing Enterprise Lean Sigma principles.

• Lead safety initiatives conduct daily safety huddles and monthly safety meetings and collaborate across functional areas to resolve problems and eliminate waste.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred.

• 6 years of operational experience with previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred.

• Demonstrated skill in analyzing operational data daily scheduling planning budgeting and managing inventory control systems.

• Strong ability to lead coach and develop a diverse team driving continuous improvement and applying Enterprise Lean Sigma principles.

• Excellent customer focus communication and decision-making skills with the flexibility to adapt hours as needed for operational priorities.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $90000.00 - $112000.00 / year. 

NOTE - This location will be relocating to Paris CA by January 2027.

The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range and in some circumstances may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to a candidates relevant skills experience education and training and location as well as the job scope and complexity responsibilities and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position which may change depending on the candidate pool.
