Georgia Families In Transition Therapist PositionGeorgia Families in Transition is looking for individuals to join our community-based mental health team!The Therapist position is focused on providing individual/family mental health counseling using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches of care for children, adolescents, and adults in the clients county location. GFIT strives toward a company culture based in collaboration, teamwork, honesty, and promotion of self-care and is looking for members of our mental health team who share this vision.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProviding individual/family mental health counseling using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches of care.Timely documentation submissionCommitment to providing consistent, ongoing services to clientsProvide crisis intervention as necessary to enhance and restore functioningParticipate in coordination of care with a multi-disciplinary treatment teamMeet or exceed agency required productivity and documentation standardsFor this role, services are either provided in person or via telehealth, depending on the client’s authorization and clinical needs. This certification demonstrates advanced knowledge and competency in substance use disorder treatment and will be highly valued in this role.Therapists will primarily be assigned to private insurance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) clients and should be willing to become credentialed with insurance panels as needed. Candidates must also be prepared to provide the required information and documentation to complete their CAQH profiles to facilitate credentialing and billing processes.Must be able to pass DBHDD background check (required prior to providing any services to clients)Completion of state-mandated training within the first 30 days of hire: CPR/First Aid, CPI, CSSRS, ReliasKnowledge of Medicaid/CMO compliance requirements preferredDemonstrable knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteriaWillingness to learn new documentation and clinical skillsReceptivity to feedback and constructive criticismPrompt communication, collaborative personality, and passion for mental health and human servicesBilingual skills advantageousAdditional InformationJob Type: Full-time contractual positionPay rate: $70 per service hour for Private Insurance Clients and $50-$60 per service hour for CMO ClientsLocation Requirement: Must reside in or have reliable transportation to provide in-person services within Atlanta/Metro Atlanta County, GAFlexible for both in person and telehealthSchedule Requirements: Must be flexible to work afterschool hours and weekends in order to accommodate the needs of the clients served. With availability to provide services during morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours.
