Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

We’re on the hunt for a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) who thrives in the fast-paced, awe-inspiring world of childbirth. Hourly Pay Rate: $35.52 - $52.39 This is a PM role with an 18% weekday differential and 26% weekend differential. Qualifications Education Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing. Experience Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities; or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health then must have at least one (1) year of Valleywise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing. Certification/Licensure Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice. Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing. Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire. In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice: Must have ACLS and NRP upon hire or within six (6) months of hire or transfer if new grad/new to service. New grad/new to service RN, complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within twelve (12) months of hire. Experienced L&D RN, obtain AWHONN Fetal Monitoring within six (6) months of hire. AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring must be completed after two (2) years of L&D experience. AWHONN Fetal Monitoring will be renewed every two (2) years. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must. Bilingual is preferred. Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills. Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g. formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.
