CoAd Non-Teaching: AI in Rail Transportation Recruitment/Posting Title: CoAd Non-Teaching: AI in Rail Transportation Department: Advanced Infrastructure Center Position Status: Part Time Posting Number: 25FA1230 Salary: $12,000 to $60,000 (subject to qualifications, experience, and available funds) Posting Summary A researcher is being sought to support ongoing work to investigate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in rail transportation applications from a strategic visioning perspective. The successful candidate must demonstrate a robust understanding of and experience with AI science, AI applications in transportation infrastructure, and translating complex scientific topics into easy-to-understand summaries and visuals. Responsibilities Support research on AI applications in rail transportation, develop strategic visioning, and produce clear summaries and visual materials that translate complex scientific topics for diverse audiences. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience: Ph.D. in civil engineering or related field with robust experience in AI applications in transportation and engagement with transit agencies. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Candidates with experience working with transportation or other public agencies on AI applications and strategic vision development.
