- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues under time pressure.
- Positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of responsibility and ownership over assigned tasks.
Why Work Here?
You will join a small, close-knit maintenance team where you can work with a high degree of autonomy on your shift and see the direct impact of your skills every day. The schedule offers structured 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends off, providing predictable time for rest and personal activities. Regular overtime opportunities allow you to significantly increase your earnings while building deep technical experience in a specialized industrial environment. The culture emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability, giving you the chance to grow your expertise and take pride in keeping a critical operation running smoothly.
Work Environment
The role is based in an industrial feed and grain nutrition facility, working closely with a small maintenance crew of approximately four people. The environment includes production machinery such as conveyor systems, motors, VFDs, pumps, gear boxes, and other heavy industrial equipment. You will work primarily on a 3rd shift schedule, with shifts typically ranging from 10 to 12 hours, Monday through Saturday, and some weekends off on a rotating basis, including a 12-hour Saturday shift and a 12-hour Sunday shift followed by the next weekend off. Daily overtime is common, and you should expect to work a significant amount of overtime as part of the role. The setting is industrial, with typical conditions such as noise, moving machinery, and exposure to feed and grain materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols and appropriate work attire suitable for a production and maintenance environment.
