The role reports to an Agile Manager and works with System Engineers, Operations Engineers, Spacecraft Engineers, Space Vehicle Operators, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners.As a member of an agile scrum team, the Staff Software Development Engineer will work on a cross-functional team on the next gen, cloud-based, satellite ground system software. The team member will provide on-schedule, high quality, operational and test code adhering to designs, acceptance criteria and corporate standards, with appropriate demonstrations and documentation.Responsibilities:Software design and development of operational code of new features and defect repairsDevelop automated unit, functional, and integration testsDemonstration and documentation of functionality and test resultsTroubleshoot operational issuesSupport deadlines and communicate issues/resultsParticipate in Communities of Practice for adherence and improvement of best practicesMinimum Qualifications:Must be a US CitizenComputer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 5 years software development of complex software systemsExpertise with Python for webservices (django) and scriptingExpertise in Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, CENTOS/AL3)Expertise with API concepts like REST/JSON/YAMLExperience with test automation languages/frameworks: Cucumber, Gherkin, BehavePreferred Qualifications:Experience with build and deploy technologies like K8S, docker, jenkins, helm, terraformExperience with RabbitMQ/PostgreSQL/Redis/ElasticsearchExpertise with Ruby and GO programing languagesExperience in hybrid cloud networksExperience with CI/CDExperience with Aerospace and/or Satellite Ground SystemsExperience working in an Agile Scrum environmentExperience with operational support of a complex microservice based system#LI-MG1Pay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role. The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $105,000.00 - $140,000.00 - $154,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
