Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical company to identify a Procurement Specialist for an opportunity near Hartford, CT.

Pay rate range: $25-$30/hr. (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Manage RFP/RFX processes, supplier negotiations, contract execution, and functional approvals for assigned indirect procurement categories.
• Oversee requisitions, approvals, purchase orders, and supplier order confirmations through the Zycus Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system.
• Support business users with P2P training, troubleshooting, and procurement policy compliance, including the No PO, No Pay policy.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, conduct bid analysis, and drive cost-effective sourcing decisions aligned with market benchmarks.
• Assess supplier performance, identify competitive vendors, and develop alternative supply sources.
• Support strategic sourcing projects, vendor programs, catalogs, and discount initiatives.
• Collaborate with Legal and business stakeholders on contract negotiations and approvals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent college degree required.
• Extensive indirect procurement experience in a large corporate or enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with a major P2P platform such as Zycus, Coupa, Ariba, GEP, or Ivalua.
• Proven expertise in sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and procurement compliance.
• Experience working with Legal teams on contract negotiations.
• Experience supporting enterprise-level operations or large markets.
