Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized telemetry nursing care to adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac rhythms continuously using telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders.
• Document patient progress, vital signs, and responses accurately in electronic medical records.
• Respond promptly to abnormal cardiac rhythms or patient emergencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, medications, and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current and valid RN license for the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1-year recent acute care telemetry experience.
• Hold BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
• Show flexibility and a team-oriented attitude towards floating and shift changes.
• Preferred: Chemo certification and experience caring for cardiac patients with complex medical issues.
