Deployment Manager

Job Title

Lead the DLP/DRM efforts which entails coordinating all aspects of the POC including project planning, project kickoff, stakeholder engagement, and tracking deliverables to completion.

Determine roles and responsibilities of all project team members and clearly communicates this to the project team.

Develop project communication materials in coordination with CareFirst IT Communications team.

Provide end user training on new functionality being deployed to the business.

Provide status updates and presentations to CF management on a periodic basis.

Drive creation of a tactical plan to implement technology, partnering with key stakeholders for validation.

Manages cross-functional teams responsible for delivering project outputs within a domain or corporate initiative, often crossing organizational boundaries with an enterprise wide reach.

Produce detailed technical design, test plans, and implementation plans.

Identify key risks to success and help to mitigate those risks or related issues.

Prepares, implements, monitors, and updates the project plan. Coordinates with the business owner and upper level management to ensure the actions are consistent with the approved plan.

Determines Project goals and priorities with management, program manager and/or project sponsors.

Develops and ensures appropriate product-related training and documentation are developed and made available to customers.

Creates all project planning documentation and follows all CareFirst Defined processes.

Establish and publish clear priorities among project activities. Coordinates team activities to meet project milestones.

Analyze, define and interpret business needs and issues by gathering, analyzing, documenting and validating the Business area(s) and user(s) technical (functional/non-functional) requirements.

Gathers information about the organizations work processes and information flows.

Documents existing process in technical model format in order to evaluate and define new IT solutions and implementation processes.

Lead testing efforts by defining, developing and implementing practices and procedures for complete end user test plans.

Ensures all user acceptance tests are conducted and documented according to standards. Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, or Engineering or equivalent work experience required.

5+ years of IT and business experience in strategic planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of systems, preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms.

Good understanding of product architecture and infrastructure components.

Experience leading several successful implementations and driving success in large and small teams

Previous technical experience in a dynamic environment with strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to transform technical knowledge into business language (e.g. reports, presentations, etc.)

Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, analyze and verify requirements.
