Job Title: Welder & Fabricator - Railcar Repair (Day) Job Description

Join our rail and tank car repair facility as a Welder & Fabricator, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing railcars. You will spend 20% of your time welding using MIG/Flux techniques and 80% fabricating and assembling components. The role requires you to read blueprints, cut steel with an Oxy-Torch, fit up, and tack weld, ensuring all work is completed to high standards. This position offers an opportunity for long-term investment and certification in railcar repair.

• Perform MIG/Flux welding and fabrication/assembly tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Cut steel using an Oxy-Torch.
• Fit up and tack weld components as needed.
• Weld overhead when required.
• Collaborate effectively with the team to meet production goals.

• Proficiency in MIG and Flux welding.
• Experience in structural welding.
• Ability to weld overhead.
• Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints.

• Experience in railcar repair.
• Familiarity with the Association of American Railroads and Federal Railroad Administration standards.

Work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing facility with shifts from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hockley, TX.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
