Job Title: Lead HVAC Installer

Position Overview

Core Climate Solutions is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead HVAC Installer to join our growing team in Southwest Florida. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation across the full spectrum of residential HVAC equipment and installation practices, along with the leadership ability to oversee installation projects from start to finish while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and code compliance. This is a key role within our organization, directly responsible for delivering the professional, reliable installations that our customers depend on and that our company's reputation is built upon.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete installations of residential HVAC systems across all major makes and models, including single-stage, multi-stage, and inverter-driven variable-speed equipment
• Install, fabricate, and modify ductwork, plenums, and related components to ensure proper system airflow and performance
• Run and terminate high-voltage and low-voltage wiring in accordance with manufacturer specifications and all applicable electrical codes
• Install and properly support refrigerant linesets, ensuring correct sizing, routing, and leak-free connections
• Lead and oversee installation projects from initial setup through final system startup, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to company quality standards
• Perform system startup, commissioning, and verification to confirm proper operation, airflow, refrigerant charge, and overall system performance
• Ensure all installations are completed 100% up to current local and state building and mechanical codes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout the duration of each project
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors throughout the installation process
• Accurately complete required job documentation, including permits, inspection checklists, and installation records
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior installers and helpers as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience installing a wide range of residential HVAC equipment, including single-stage, multi-stage, and inverter-driven systems across multiple major brands
• Demonstrated proficiency in ductwork fabrication and installation, including plenums, transitions, and related components
• Strong working knowledge of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical wiring as it pertains to HVAC system installation
• Experience installing and properly handling refrigerant linesets, including brazing and leak testing
• Valid EPA 608 certification (required)
• Valid driver's license
• Strong understanding of current HVAC, electrical, and building codes applicable to residential installations
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturer installation specifications and technical documentation
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to perform the demands of HVAC installation work, including lifting heavy equipment, working in attics and confined spaces, and working outdoors in Florida's climate
