Assignment Overview

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Short Stay Unit in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong med/surg skills with experience in a fast-paced environment dealing with a diverse range of cases including stroke, trauma, cardiac, and general medicine.
Assignment Details

Start Date: 08/04/2025
Shift Details: 12-hour shifts; Days, 07:00-19:30
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
Floating: Travelers may float to other departments if needed
Charting System: EPIC
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care in a 13-bed unit
Collaborate under a charge nurse and house supervisor present 24/7
Engage in patient rounds and perform vital checks
Coordinate with PCTs for patient care tasks
Operate and troubleshoot Bi-pap, C-pap, and high flow equipment as needed
Qualifications

Required:
Active IL RN license or in application process
Overall med/surg experience with the ability to adapt quickly to high patient turnover
Certification in BLS and NIHSS
Ability to clear a comprehensive drug screen
Preferred:
Experience with EPIC charting system
