Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

This is a 13-week contract position. The work schedule is 12-hour night shifts, with weekends scheduled as needed.

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in an acute care setting. The RN will work as part of a team and will be responsible for various patient care activities.

Responsibilities:

• Caring for patients with various diagnoses, including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI.
• Managing patient care with ratios of 1:6 or 1:7, as required.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Performing patient assessments and monitoring for changes in condition.
• Working alongside a charge nurse who will have assignments on the floor.
• Titrating heparin drips based on APTT results as needed.
• Collaborating with nurse aides (PCTs) on the unit to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Documenting care in the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification is required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
