Arbitrator I (Manheim Digital Marketplace)

Job Overview Company: Cox Automotive – Group: Vehicle Operations – Position: Auto Claims Specialist I – Level: Individual Contributor – Remote: Fully remote within USA – Compensation: Hourly base pay $16.59 - $24.86 per hour (may vary by location and qualifications). Additional compensation may include commission and incentive programs. Responsibilities Review customer claims to verify compliance with Manheim's National Arbitration policies and account‑specific guidelines. Investigate basic and less complex cases such as late title claims, condition report claims, vehicle availability, post‑sale inspection failures, mechanical/structural/undisclosed damage. Interface with relevant departments (reconditioning, front office, dealer services, vehicle entry) during fact‑finding and investigative phases. Collect, compare, evaluate and validate various forms of information to assess claims. Use appropriate resources to facilitate inspection, documentation and communication to progress cases toward resolution. Apply appropriate financial approval limits to resolve cases. Prepare and facilitate communication for resolution via telephone, email, and in‑person discussion. Mediates disputes and negotiates repair or pricing of disputed vehicles to achieve mutually acceptable solutions and retain vehicle sales. Maintain accurate arbitration case files, verifying completeness of documentation such as invoices and settlement agreements. Engage supervisor/manager to determine when escalation is required. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Less than 2 years of experience (minimum). Accuracy and attention to detail. Organizational and time‑management skills. Adaptability in a fluid and changing environment. Preferred: 1+ year automotive or body shop experience. Preferred: Claims adjuster experience. Drug Testing Applicants must clear a pre‑employment drug test. The role does not require a marijuana drug test. Marijuana possession, use, or being under the influence of illegal drugs is prohibited.
