Systems Development Engineer, Sovereign Cloud Operations, Google Public Sector

Develop, configure, and maintain internal systems and customer portals.Support services before they go live through system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, evolving systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.Perform complex day-to-day troubleshooting and resolution of infrastructure issues, collaborating with engineering teams to implement customer requirements.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT-related field, or equivalent practical experience.5 years of experience with systems automation, and with systems design and implementation.Experience in automation and scripting in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, Perl, or Bash.Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with current polygraph.Preferred qualifications:5 years of experience working with vendors or customers.Experience administering cloud services or container-based applications or workloads.Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration products.Experience designing secure, well-architected systems based on customer requirements.Experience troubleshooting across Linux- and Kubernetes-based architectures.Systems Development Engineering (SDE) at Google is a role where you manage services and systems at scale.
