Description & Details Connelly School of the Holy Child is seeking a passionate Middle School Teacher to join our outstanding faculty for the 2026-2027'school year. Responsibilities include:? Teach middle school courses in science middle and leads an advisory. Foster a classroom environment that is conducive to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of young women. Collaborate with other middle school teachers in the division to support student learning. Collaborates with math and science teachers to plan curriculum and build interest in STEM fields and enrichment. Communicate effectively and consistently with students, parents, staff, and community. Maintain appropriate records, student progress reports, and follow required procedures and practices. Integrate the use and care of technology, equipment, materials, and facilities adequately. An active commitment to enhancing our school community through involvement on committees and in student life activities. Build culturally responsive classroom that fosters a sense of belonging and ensures that all students feel respected and challenged. Develop, select, and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse population. Requirements Ideal Candidate will possess: Bachelor's Degree in science education or general education with a concentration in science at the middle/secondary level. Teacher preparation program completion or certification preferred. Strong commitment to inquiry-based learning and laboratory investigations. Knowledge of best practices and strategies to effectively engage students from diverse backgrounds and abilities. Demonstrated ability to cultivate critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills among students. Familiarity or experience teaching with Next Generation Science Standards. Ability to inspire curiosity and a deeper understanding of the physical sciences in students. Commitment to embrace the school's mission and values, with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
