Emergency Room Registered Nurse

ED RN needed for day shifts in the emergency department. Must be available for every other weekend and required holidays. Patient ratios are typically 1:4, up to 5 with lower acuity patient groups. The average daily census is about 140 patients. The unit accommodates all age ranges from neonates to geriatrics. Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, and respiratory illnesses. Special equipment includes Belmont in trauma, Giraffe warmer for neonates, Rapid infuser, and Lucas for cardiac arrests. Previous charge experience is preferred. The unit has interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travelers are required to float within the specialty as needed. Candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions or special requests. Compliance requirements include obtaining necessary certifications prior to starting.
