Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a registered nurse with expertise in operating room (OR) and open heart (OH) specialties at the Golden, Colorado location. The candidate will perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with accepted standards, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour days, working in the cardiovascular operating room and/or main operating rooms. The scheduled shifts include 21 CVOR on-call shifts within a 9-week cycle.
• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited nursing school. Current RN license in the state of practice or a valid Single State or Compact RN license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association. Minimum of one (1) year of registered nursing experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN). Previous experience working as a registered nurse in similar settings is preferred.
• Additional Information: The role involves performing health assessments, patient education, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, execution of delegated medical functions, patient referrals, monitoring treatment plans, documentation, and resource utilization. The RN may be required to float to other departments within scope and qualifications based on organizational needs. The position may also require placing on-call during scheduled shifts.
