Role Description The Payroll Specialist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Metropolitan Fresno. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for team members. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining payroll records, verifying timesheets, calculating wages, and processing regular and off-cycle payroll runs. The Payroll Specialist will handle payroll tax reporting, garnishments, and benefit deductions in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role also involves responding to payroll-related inquiries, reconciling payroll accounts, collaborating with HR and accounting, and assisting with process improvements and audits. Qualifications Strong skills in Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration, with experience managing multi-entity or multi-state payrolls. Knowledge of Payroll Taxes and Payroll Services, including tax compliance, reporting, and coordination with third‑party providers. Experience handling Garnishments and other court‑ordered or statutory deductions in a compliant and confidential manner. Proficiency with payroll software and ERP systems, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills. High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including reconciling discrepancies and supporting audits. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with HR, finance, and operations.
