Key Experience & Skills:

• Valid New York State RN or LPN/LVN license in good standing
• Experience working with pediatric students in a school or similar setting
• Strong preference for nurses with tracheostomy care experience
• Ability to provide one-on-one care and tailor support to student’s specific medical needs
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educators, therapists, and families
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a dynamic school environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 nursing support to a student at a BOCES placement throughout the school day
• Monitor student’s medical status, administer treatments, and respond calmly to emergencies
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all school and nursing regulations
• Work in close partnership with school staff and guardians to ensure continuity of care
• Follow care plans, adapt routines as needed, and foster a supportive, safe learning environment
