CDL EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Michigan Broadband Services is looking for a CDL Equipment Operator to join our team.  The ideal applicant will be willing to perform physical labor, work efficiently, and be highly self-motivated. This position offers a highly competitive wage and a full benefit package.  On-site training is provided.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Installs and maintains underground telecommunications cabling and supports aerial construction as required.
• 
  Assists in all phases of underground construction including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
• 
  Manages the use and care of all maintenance including power equipment, trucks, and hand tools.
• 
  Works safely around heavy equipment and machinery. Maintains safe working habits and work conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and company policies.
• 
  Must be willing to travel in Michigan and work some weekends
• 
  Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 
  CDL (Class A) license is required
• 
  1+ years of construction experience
• 
  Working knowledge of construction trenching, placing of duct CIC, fiber pedestals and vaults
• 
  High level of energy motivation and attention to detail
• 
  Ability to work
• 
  Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving history, void of suspensions and revocations
• 
  Must be able to pass all pre-employment screening to include MVR, Background Check, and Drug Screening
