Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Field Operations Superintendent to oversee construction projects from planning through completion. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines project management responsibilities with day-to-day field supervision.

The successful candidate will manage project schedules, subcontractors, materials, equipment, logistics, budgets, and jobsite operations while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage construction projects from planning and mobilization through completion and closeout.
• Oversee daily field operations and coordinate all jobsite activities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and monitor progress against established milestones.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and resource allocation and help identify potential cost or schedule impacts.
• Coordinate the procurement, expediting, delivery, and tracking of materials and equipment.
• Manage jobsite logistics, including deliveries, inventory, equipment, workforce coordination, and workflow planning.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards, project specifications, building codes, and safety requirements.
• Identify and resolve field issues, design conflicts, scheduling challenges, and other construction-related problems.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, schedules, inspection records, and other project-related reports.
• Communicate regularly with company leadership, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
• Promote and enforce compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve jobsite efficiency, productivity, and project execution.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in construction project management, field operations, or superintendent-level roles.
• Strong understanding of construction planning, scheduling, budgeting, and project coordination.
• Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and multiple project stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating material and equipment procurement, deliveries, and jobsite logistics.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, quality control, inspections, and safety requirements.
• Ability to identify and resolve field issues while minimizing impacts on project schedules and budgets.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with project management, scheduling, documentation, and construction-related software.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Richmond, Virginia.

Preferred Background:

Candidates with experience managing commercial and/or industrial construction projects and serving in a combined Project Manager and Superintendent or Field Operations leadership role will be strongly preferred.
