Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and clinical assessment. This role involves delivering safe, high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and monitor patients' cardiac status through diligent observation and interpretation of telemetry data.
• Administer and manage IV medications, including insulin, heparin, and other cardiac drips, ensuring precise dosage and safety.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on treatment procedures, medication management, and health maintenance.
• Document patient data, interventions, and responses accurately utilizing Meditech charting system.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including floating protocols, dress code, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 2 years of hospital or specialty nursing experience.
• Hold current Texas RN license; temporary licenses not accepted.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ACLS, BLS, and telemetry monitoring.
• Show expertise in interpreting and managing cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Possess strong communication skills, including effective de-escalation techniques.
• Be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
