Please ensure you clear these locations with your candidates.Flexibility preferred for the following shifts:1st shift = 7:00 am to 3:30 pm2nd shift = 3:00 pm to 11:30 am3rd shift = 11:00 pm to 7:30 amLocation:East Region ** Please ensure your candidate can commute to these locations**East - Isaiah House-Monroe/McMinn - 221 County Rd. 517 Englewood, TN 37329East - Isaiah House-Anderson - 629 Woodland Drive, Clinton, TN 37716East - Immanuel House - 814 Webb Circle, Lenoir City, TN 37771East - Child Advocacy Center - 203 Independence Lane, LaFollette, TN 37766Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health or related field required; BSW or MSW preferredThis position will be expected to work with youth to employ coping skills and teach youth techniques to calm and/or de-escalate behaviors. Engage with youth on one-on-one basis to identify strengths and needs as well as identify triggers that tend to escalate youth’s behaviors. Specialist will work with youth to develop a behavior management plan they can implement independently or with prompting from Specialist or staff. Identify maladaptive behaviors and teach youth skills to promote adaptive, pro-social behaviors. Specialist will observe behaviors of youth and intervene when initial signs of escalation are identified in order to avoid intense reaction. Specialist will assist youth in utilizing identified strategies to return to a calm and regulated state. Specialist will utilize de-escalation skills when youth becomes agitated and aggressive to defuse the situation. If youth continues to escalate, Specialist will alert on-site security guard to intervene.Background VerificationMinimum Verification Requirements - DCS medical positions require fingerprinting.
