Orthodontic Assistant

Dental Assistant/Orthodontic Assistant Location: Richmond, VA Duties and Responsibilities Assist the dentist and orthodontist during clinical procedures and patient appointments Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials Take dental/orthodontic records, photographs, and X-rays as permitted by state regulations Assist with orthodontic procedures, including bracket placement, wire changes, impressions/scans, and appliance delivery Provide patients with instructions regarding oral hygiene and orthodontic care Sterilize and maintain instruments and clinical equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment Update patient records accurately and efficiently Communicate professionally with patients, parents, and team members Help provide an exceptional patient experience from check-in through treatment Follow all OSHA, infection-control, and office safety procedures Requirements Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant experience preferred Orthodontic experience is a plus High school diploma or equivalent Current CPR/BLS certification preferred Any required state dental assisting certifications or radiology credentials Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment Positive attitude and professional appearance Ability to build rapport with patients and make them feel comfortable What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Supportive and team oriented work environment Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Why Join Toothbeary Pediatric Dentistry?
