What you will be doing: The primary purpose of this position is to provide patient access support through scheduling appointments and coordinating procedures and outpatient services. Perform patient outreach services including scheduling new and reoccurring appointments, contacting specialty practices and community services to schedule patient appointments and procedures. Complete all appropriate documentation in Epic including chart preparation and pre-visit documentation. Work collaboratively with practice managers, access coordinators, and GPPC support staff to ensure patient follow up is timely and accurate. Provide support for referral management including working in Epic to proactively schedule patient referrals within the network. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, in accordance with internal and legal regulations. Deliver exemplary customer service in order to provide a positive patient experience across the organization. Perform other duties assigned by management. Education And Experience High school diploma required; two-year college degree preferred Proven work experience in healthcare facility and/or strong customer service experience preferred Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to utilize computer programs Join General Physician, P.C., and make a difference in the lives of patients while advancing your career!
